What does ๐ธ๐ฌ Singapore Flag mean?
Red over white horizontal bands, with a white crescent and five white stars in the upper hoist. Singaporeans celebrate National Day on 9 August with a big parade and fireworks, and the flag appears with hawker food, Marina Bay views and Singlish phrases. Formula 1 fans also use it for the Singapore Grand Prix night race.
Technically, ๐ธ๐ฌ is not a single character: it is the pair of regional indicator letters ๐ธ ๐ฌ, which spell the region code SG. Apps that support flags combine the two letters into a flag; Windows does not draw country flags, so on Windows you see the letters SG instead โ the emoji still arrives as a flag on the recipientโs phone.
๐ธ๐ฌ Singapore Flag is an emoji from the Flags category (country flags), added in Emoji 2.0 in 2015.
