What does ๐ง๐ธ Bahamas Flag mean?
Aquamarine, gold and aquamarine horizontal stripes, with a black triangle pointing in from the hoist. The aquamarine evokes the sea, the gold the sun and sand, and the black triangle the strength and unity of the people. Bahamians celebrate Independence Day on 10 July, and the flag lights up Junkanoo parades, cruise and beach posts, and cheering for the countryโs sprinters.
Technically, ๐ง๐ธ is not a single character: it is the pair of regional indicator letters ๐ง ๐ธ, which spell the region code BS. Apps that support flags combine the two letters into a flag; Windows does not draw country flags, so on Windows you see the letters BS instead โ the emoji still arrives as a flag on the recipientโs phone.
๐ง๐ธ Bahamas Flag is an emoji from the Flags category (country flags), added in Emoji 2.0 in 2015.
