What does ๐ง๐ท Brazil Flag mean?
A green field holds a large yellow diamond, and inside it a blue globe shows the night sky over Rio de Janeiro with 27 white stars, one for each state and the Federal District, crossed by a white band reading โOrdem e Progressoโ. Brazilians wave it for the five-time World Cup champions, Independence Day on 7 September and Carnival, and in saudade-filled posts from abroad.
Technically, ๐ง๐ท is not a single character: it is the pair of regional indicator letters ๐ง ๐ท, which spell the region code BR. Apps that support flags combine the two letters into a flag; Windows does not draw country flags, so on Windows you see the letters BR instead โ the emoji still arrives as a flag on the recipientโs phone.
๐ง๐ท Brazil Flag is an emoji from the Flags category (country flags), added in Emoji 2.0 in 2015.
