What does ๐ฒ๐ช Montenegro Flag mean?
A red field with a gold border and the gold coat of arms in the centre: a crowned double-headed eagle with a lion on its breast. Montenegrins celebrate Independence Day on 21 May and Statehood Day on 13 July, and the flag comes out for water polo and basketball. Visitors pair it with the Bay of Kotor, the beaches of Budva and the mountains of Durmitor.
Technically, ๐ฒ๐ช is not a single character: it is the pair of regional indicator letters ๐ฒ ๐ช, which spell the region code ME. Apps that support flags combine the two letters into a flag; Windows does not draw country flags, so on Windows you see the letters ME instead โ the emoji still arrives as a flag on the recipientโs phone.
๐ฒ๐ช Montenegro Flag is an emoji from the Flags category (country flags), added in Emoji 2.0 in 2015.
