What does ๐ฒ๐ฉ Moldova Flag mean?
Blue, yellow and red vertical bands, like Romaniaโs, but with the national coat of arms in the centre: an eagle holding a cross in its beak, with an aurochs head on its shield. Moldovans celebrate Independence Day on 27 August and National Language Day four days later, and the flag appears in posts about vast wine cellars, Chiศinฤu and village life.
Technically, ๐ฒ๐ฉ is not a single character: it is the pair of regional indicator letters ๐ฒ ๐ฉ, which spell the region code MD. Apps that support flags combine the two letters into a flag; Windows does not draw country flags, so on Windows you see the letters MD instead โ the emoji still arrives as a flag on the recipientโs phone.
๐ฒ๐ฉ Moldova Flag is an emoji from the Flags category (country flags), added in Emoji 2.0 in 2015.
