What does ๐ฒ๐ฌ Madagascar Flag mean?
A white vertical band at the hoist beside horizontal bands of red over green. Malagasy people celebrate Independence Day on 26 June, and the flag appears in posts about the islandโs extraordinary wildlife, including lemurs, chameleons and the Avenue of the Baobabs, along with vanilla, beaches and the animated films that made the name famous.
Technically, ๐ฒ๐ฌ is not a single character: it is the pair of regional indicator letters ๐ฒ ๐ฌ, which spell the region code MG. Apps that support flags combine the two letters into a flag; Windows does not draw country flags, so on Windows you see the letters MG instead โ the emoji still arrives as a flag on the recipientโs phone.
๐ฒ๐ฌ Madagascar Flag is an emoji from the Flags category (country flags), added in Emoji 2.0 in 2015.
