What does ๐ฉ๐ฒ Dominica Flag mean?
A green field crossed by a yellow, black and white cross, with a red disc at the centre showing a Sisserou parrot ringed by ten green stars. The parrot, the national bird, makes this one of the rare national flags to include purple. Dominicans celebrate Independence Day on 3 November, and visitors use the flag for waterfalls and the Boiling Lake on the โNature Isleโ. Not to be confused with the Dominican Republic.
Technically, ๐ฉ๐ฒ is not a single character: it is the pair of regional indicator letters ๐ฉ ๐ฒ, which spell the region code DM. Apps that support flags combine the two letters into a flag; Windows does not draw country flags, so on Windows you see the letters DM instead โ the emoji still arrives as a flag on the recipientโs phone.
๐ฉ๐ฒ Dominica Flag is an emoji from the Flags category (country flags), added in Emoji 2.0 in 2015.
