What does 🇨🇼 Curaçao Flag mean?
A blue field crossed below the centre by a yellow stripe, with two white stars in the upper hoist representing Curaçao and its small neighbour Klein Curaçao. The island is a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and people use the flag on Flag Day, 2 July, and in posts about Willemstad’s colourful waterfront, reef diving and Papiamentu phrases like “Bon bini”.
Technically, 🇨🇼 is not a single character: it is the pair of regional indicator letters 🇨 🇼, which spell the region code CW. Apps that support flags combine the two letters into a flag; Windows does not draw country flags, so on Windows you see the letters CW instead – the emoji still arrives as a flag on the recipient’s phone.
🇨🇼 Curaçao Flag is an emoji from the Flags category (country flags), added in Emoji 2.0 in 2015.
