What does 🇨🇴 Colombia Flag mean?
Horizontal stripes of yellow, blue and red, with the yellow filling the top half. Colombians post it on Independence Day, 20 July, to cheer the national football team, and to share their famous coffee, salsa in Cali, the colourful streets of Cartagena and the music of their global stars. It often comes with a proud “¡Viva Colombia!”
Technically, 🇨🇴 is not a single character: it is the pair of regional indicator letters 🇨 🇴, which spell the region code CO. Apps that support flags combine the two letters into a flag; Windows does not draw country flags, so on Windows you see the letters CO instead – the emoji still arrives as a flag on the recipient’s phone.
🇨🇴 Colombia Flag is an emoji from the Flags category (country flags), added in Emoji 2.0 in 2015.
