What does ๐ Pear mean?
A green pear with a short stem. Beyond snacks, poached desserts and autumn baking, it carries a handy British idiom: when plans โgo pear-shapedโ, they have gone badly wrong. People also use it for the pear body shape in fashion and fitness chats. At small sizes it is easy to confuse with the green apple ๐, but the narrow top gives it away.
๐ Pear is an emoji from the Food & Drink category (fruits), added in Emoji 1.0 in 2015.
