What does ๐ Banana mean?
A yellow banana, often shown partly peeled. It covers quick snacks, smoothies, banana bread and gym fuel, and it is a favorite for monkey jokes and anything goofy, as in โgoing bananasโ when someone loses it from excitement or frustration. Thanks to its shape, it also carries a well-known phallic innuendo, so context matters. Bananas are famous for their potassium, which explains the many potassium jokes this emoji attracts.
๐ Banana is an emoji from the Food & Drink category (fruits), added in Emoji 0.6 in 2010. People use it in messages about fruit and potassium.
