What does ๐ Melon mean?
A whole pale green melon with a netted rind, closest to a cantaloupe or honeydew. It shows up in breakfast plans, fruit salads and summer smoothie talk, and it is easy to mix up with ๐, which shows a bright red watermelon slice instead. Because โmelonsโ is old slang for breasts, it occasionally appears in cheeky jokes, but most of the time it simply means fresh, juicy fruit. In Japan, flawless melons are prized as luxury gifts.
๐ Melon is an emoji from the Food & Drink category (fruits), added in Emoji 0.6 in 2010. People use it in messages about cantaloupe and fruit.
