What does 🧨 Firecracker mean?
A red firecracker with a lit fuse, about to go bang. It is closely tied to Lunar New Year, when strings of firecrackers are set off to welcome the year and drive away evil spirits, so it often sits next to 🧧 and 🏮. Elsewhere it means something explosive: a dynamite performance, a spicy hot take, a party about to kick off, or someone with a very short fuse.
🧨 Firecracker is an emoji from the Activities category (events & celebrations), added in Emoji 11.0 in 2018. People use it in messages about dynamite, explosive, fire, fireworks, light and pop.
