What does ๐ Moon Viewing Ceremony mean?
A night scene with a full moon, pampas grass and a stack of rice dumplings, showing Tsukimi, the Japanese autumn moon-viewing festival. Families admire the harvest moon and set out round dango and susuki grass as offerings. The emoji also suits the Mid-Autumn Festival and anything to do with full moons, autumn evenings or quiet, reflective nights. It is a gentle, seasonal choice rather than a party one.
๐ Moon Viewing Ceremony is an emoji from the Activities category (events & celebrations), added in Emoji 0.6 in 2010.
