Quick weather notes in plain text
Weather symbols make short updates easy to read: “Mon ☀ 24℃, Tue ☂ 18℃” says more at a glance than a full sentence. Because they are text, they fit into spreadsheets, calendars, chat messages and even SMS without turning into images. The degree sign ° and the ℃ and ℉ units also save you hunting through special-character menus.
Text style or emoji style
A few weather characters, including ☀, ☁ and ❄, also exist as emoji, so some phones may show them in colour. Others, like ☼, ⛆ and the moon ☾, almost always stay as simple outlines. If you want a consistent minimalist look, mix in the symbols that never turn into emoji, or keep everything in the same style for a tidy design.
