Choosing the right arrow
Simple arrows like → are great for showing steps or links between ideas, such as “idea → draft → final”. Double arrows ⇒ and ⇔ come from logic and maths, where they mean “implies” and “if and only if”. Circular arrows ↺ and ↻ suggest refreshing or repeating, and hooked arrows such as ↵ recall the return key on a keyboard.
Decorative arrows for design
The heavier arrows from the Dingbats set, including ➤, ➜ and ➳, work nicely as bullet points, call-to-action markers or playful accents in bios. Long arrows like ⟶ and ⟹ give extra breathing room in diagrams and timelines. If an arrow looks too small on your device, try its bolder sibling — most directions come in several weights.
