What does 🍿 Popcorn mean?
A striped box of popcorn. It covers movie nights and cinema snacks, but its most famous use is as a reaction: sending it means you are settling in to watch drama, gossip or an argument unfold with great interest. In that sense it is playful and a little nosy. Pair it with 🎬 when you are actually planning to see a film.
🍿 Popcorn is an emoji from the Food & Drink category (prepared foods), added in Emoji 1.0 in 2015. People use it in messages about corn, movie and pop.
