What does 🧭 Compass mean?
A magnetic compass with a needle pointing north. It shows up for navigation, hiking and orienteering, but it also carries a figurative sense: finding your direction in life, having a strong moral compass, or someone who keeps you on course. Travel accounts like it as a stand-in for “explore”. Compared with the 🗺️ map, it is less about geography and more about guidance and choosing a path.
🧭 Compass is an emoji from the Travel & Places category (maps & globes), added in Emoji 11.0 in 2018. People use it in messages about direction, magnetic, navigation and orienteering.
