What does ๐ Winking Face mean?
One eye closed and a small smile: the classic wink. It signals that something should not be taken entirely seriously, whether that is a joke, a playful hint or a little secret shared with the reader. In flirty conversations it adds a teasing, suggestive edge. Just as often it simply softens a remark so that gentle teasing does not come across as harsh. Its text ancestor is the ;) emoticon.
๐ Winking Face is an emoji from the Smileys & Emotion category (smiling faces), added in Emoji 0.6 in 2010. People use it in messages about flirt, heartbreaker, sexy, slide, tease and wink.
