What does ๐ง Troll mean?
A large, rough-looking creature from Scandinavian folklore and fairy tales, the kind that lurks under bridges or in caves. Fantasy fans use it for games and stories, and online it takes on a second meaning: calling out an internet troll, admitting you are trolling someone or labeling a bait comment. It also fits jokes about looking scruffy first thing in the morning. It arrived later than most fantasy emojis and has no skin tones.
๐ง Troll is an emoji from the People & Body category (fantasy characters), added in Emoji 14.0 in 2021. People use it in messages about fairy, fantasy, monster, tale and trolling.
