What does ๐ง Genie mean?
A magical genie, the wish-granting spirit known as a jinn in Arabian folklore and made famous by tales like Aladdin. People use it for wishes, granting favors and getting exactly what they asked for. Sending it can mean โyour wish is my commandโ or daydreaming about three wishes. Being a mythical spirit rather than a human, it has no skin tone options. Man and woman genie versions also exist.
๐ง Genie is an emoji from the People & Body category (fantasy characters), added in Emoji 5.0 in 2017. People use it in messages about djinn, fantasy, jinn, lamp, myth and rub.
