Reaching out toward the right, this hand is turned sideways as if about to grasp something. Alone, it can mean offering help, reaching for an object or asking to hold hands. Its main purpose is to pair with 🫲: together they form a handshake, and each hand can carry its own skin tone to show two different people. As a fairly recent addition, it may show up as a blank box on older devices.
🫱 Rightwards Hand is an emoji from the People & Body category (hand gestures: open fingers), added in Emoji 14.0 in 2021. People use it in messages about handshake, hold, reach, right, rightward and shake.
