What does 🫲 Leftwards Hand mean?
Mirror image of 🫱, this hand reaches out to the left, ready to take or shake. Sent by itself it can mean grabbing, receiving, or reaching back toward something said earlier. Most often it completes a handshake with the rightwards hand, which lets each side of the greeting use a different skin tone. Like its partner, it is newer than most hand emojis, so older phones may not render it.
🫲 Leftwards Hand is an emoji from the People & Body category (hand gestures: open fingers), added in Emoji 14.0 in 2021. People use it in messages about handshake, hold, left, leftward, reach and shake.
