What does 🤲🏽 Palms Up Together: Medium Skin Tone mean?
🤲🏽 is the Palms Up Together emoji (🤲) with a medium skin tone (🏽, Fitzpatrick type 4) modifier. It means the same as the default yellow version; the skin tone simply lets people represent themselves or the person they are talking about.
Palms up and side by side, slightly cupped as if receiving something. It is widely tied to prayer, especially dua in Islam, where hands are raised while asking God for blessings. People also use it for hoping, wishing, asking with humility, or offering something with both hands. Compared with 🙏, which often means please or thank you, 🤲 leans toward open-handed prayer and supplication.
