What does ๐ Oncoming Taxi mean?
A taxi seen from the front, as if it is pulling up for you. It suggests a ride arriving, hailing a cab or a car being on its way, so it fits messages like โmy ride is hereโ or โtaxi bookedโ. It is handy for late-night pickups and early airport transfers, and feels slightly more dynamic than ๐, the side view of the same cab.
๐ Oncoming Taxi is an emoji from the Travel & Places category (ground transport), added in Emoji 1.0 in 2015. People use it in messages about cab, cabbie, cars, drove, hail and yellow.
