What does 🤥 Lying Face mean?
This face sports a long, growing nose, a nod to the story of Pinocchio. It calls out lies, exaggerations and tall tales, either seriously or as friendly teasing. It also works for owning up to a small fib with a grin, or for poking fun at an obvious excuse. It is a lighthearted way to say “that’s not true” without sounding too accusatory.
🤥 Lying Face is an emoji from the Smileys & Emotion category (neutral & skeptical faces), added in Emoji 3.0 in 2016. People use it in messages about liar, lie and pinocchio.
