What does 📽️ Film Projector mean?
A vintage film projector, the kind that clatters at the back of an old cinema or classroom. It evokes movie nights, home cinema, screenings and film history. People post it when hosting an outdoor screening, watching an old classic or sharing family footage from decades ago. It has a cozier, more retro feel than 🎥 and focuses on watching films rather than making them.
📽️ Film Projector is an emoji from the Objects category (cameras, film & lights), added in Emoji 0.7 in 2014. People use it in messages about cinema, movie and video.
