What does 📷 Camera mean?
A compact photo camera. It stands for photography, taking pictures and sharing them: photo dumps, travel snaps, portrait sessions and throwback posts. Photographers use it to credit their shots, and friends use it to say “send pics”. Compared with 📸, which adds a flash and suggests a photo being taken right this second, 📷 feels calmer and more general.
📷 Camera is an emoji from the Objects category (cameras, film & lights), added in Emoji 0.6 in 2010. People use it in messages about photo, selfie, snap, tbt, trip and video.
