What does ๐ป Bear mean?
A friendly brown bear face. It signals cuddles and comfort, like a teddy bear or a big bear hug, so it is popular in affectionate messages. In finance, a bear market means falling prices. In gay culture, a bear is a larger, often hairy man, and the emoji is used as shorthand in that community. Campers also use it to warn each other about real bears.
๐ป Bear is an emoji from the Animals & Nature category (mammals), added in Emoji 0.6 in 2010. People use it in messages about animal, face, grizzly, growl and honey.
