What does ♿ Wheelchair Symbol mean?
The International Symbol of Access: a stylised person in a wheelchair, seen on parking bays, entrances, toilets and lifts. In messages it flags accessibility information, such as step-free routes, accessible seating or a ramp at a venue. Disability advocates and event organisers add it so access details are easy to spot. It belongs with genuine accessibility topics rather than jokes about injuries or clumsiness.
♿ Wheelchair Symbol is an emoji from the Symbols category (transport & facility signs), added in Emoji 0.6 in 2010. People use it in messages about access and handicap.
