Around Christmas it also recalls Santa’s sleigh. Parents often send it when schools close for snow, and it gives any message a playful, wintry feel.
🛷 Sled is an emoji from the Activities category (sports equipment), added in Emoji 5.0 in 2017. People use it in messages about luge, sledge, sleigh, snow and toboggan.
