A brightly coloured piñata, often a donkey-like figure, hung up to be whacked with a stick until sweets spill out. It is strongly associated with Mexican celebrations such as birthdays and Las Posadas, and is now a party staple in many countries. In chats it means party time, a festive mood or a big reveal, and it also suits jokes about taking a beating.
🪅 Piñata is an emoji from the Activities category (games & toys), added in Emoji 13.0 in 2020. People use it in messages about candy, celebrate, celebration, cinco, de and festive.
