What does 🥈 2nd Place Medal mean?
A silver medal with the number 2, given for second place. People use it to celebrate a strong runner-up finish, rank their second favourite thing or joke about narrowly missing the top spot. The tone can be proud (“silver at nationals!”) or self-deprecating (“always the bridesmaid”). In ranked lists it sits neatly between 🥇 and 🥉, and it makes a gentle way to say “close, but not quite”.
🥈 2nd Place Medal is an emoji from the Activities category (awards & medals), added in Emoji 3.0 in 2016. People use it in messages about second and silver.
