๐๐ฟThumbs Down: Dark Skin Tone Emoji
What does ๐๐ฟ Thumbs Down: Dark Skin Tone mean?
๐๐ฟ is the Thumbs Down emoji (๐) with a dark skin tone (๐ฟ, Fitzpatrick type 6) modifier. It means the same as the default yellow version; the skin tone simply lets people represent themselves or the person they are talking about.
Thumb pointing to the ground, the opposite of ๐. It means no, I disagree, not good, or a vote against, and people use it to reject an idea, rate something poorly or react to disappointing news. It hits harder than a plain โnoโ, so many soften it with a laughing or apologetic face. In polls and quick reactions it acts as a simple dislike button.
๐๐ฟ Thumbs Down: Dark Skin Tone is an emoji from the People & Body category (hand gestures: closed fingers), added in Emoji 1.0 in 2015. People use it in messages about -1, bad, dislike, good, hand and no.
