What does 🦐 Shrimp mean?
A cooked orange shrimp, curled up. It covers seafood dishes, prawns and barbecues. People also use it to call a short person a shrimp. A popular joke compares bad posture, hunched over a phone or desk, to a shrimp. Its small, curled shape makes it a fun reaction for something tiny or for curling up in bed.
🦐 Shrimp is an emoji from the Animals & Nature category (marine animals), added in Emoji 3.0 in 2016. People use it in messages about food, shellfish and small.
