What does ▶️ Play Button mean?
A right-pointing triangle, the play symbol from media players. It invites people to watch or listen: a new video, a podcast episode, a voice note or a playlist. It also works as “start” or “go” for plans, games and projects. In lists it doubles as a neat bullet point, and its counterpart facing the other way is ◀️.
▶️ Play Button is an emoji from the Symbols category (audio & video controls), added in Emoji 0.6 in 2010. People use it in messages about arrow, right and triangle.
