What does ๐ง๐ฝ Person Standing: Medium Skin Tone mean?
๐ง๐ฝ is the Person Standing emoji (๐ง) with a medium skin tone (๐ฝ, Fitzpatrick type 4) modifier. It means the same as the default yellow version; the skin tone simply lets people represent themselves or the person they are talking about.
A person standing upright with arms at their sides, facing forward and doing nothing in particular. That stillness is exactly why people use it: to show they are waiting, standing in line, or stuck in an awkward moment with no idea what to say. Online it often captures blank, speechless reactions, as in โme just standing there.โ This neutral version comes with man and woman variants.
๐ง๐ฝ Person Standing: Medium Skin Tone is an emoji from the People & Body category (people in motion), added in Emoji 12.0 in 2019.
