What does 🕎 Menorah mean?
A nine-branched candelabrum, the Hanukkah menorah, on which one more candle is lit each night of the festival and a helper candle, the shamash, lights the others. People send it with Hanukkah greetings, photos of family candle lighting and festive plans. It symbolises Jewish celebration, light and resilience. The seven-branched menorah of the ancient Temple is a separate, older symbol.
🕎 Menorah is an emoji from the Symbols category (religious symbols), added in Emoji 1.0 in 2015. People use it in messages about candelabrum, candlestick, hanukkah, jewish, judaism and religion.
