What does ♀️ Female Sign mean?
The Venus symbol, a circle with a small cross below, used in biology and astronomy to mean female. As an emoji it labels something as for or about women, appears in feminist and women’s health posts, and is built into emoji sequences that create female versions of people and activities. On its own it reads as a neutral symbol rather than a portrait.
♀️ Female Sign is an emoji from the Symbols category (gender symbols), added in Emoji 4.0 in 2016.
